Seats and Cedars

Verona, Italy.  Another of my favorite places, the terribly romantic Verona has the best foccia bread, parma ham and parmesan cheese sandwiches I've ever tasted, a fabulous Roman coliseum still in use for operas and other performances, a rich and fascinating history, gorgeous architecture,  Juliette's house and this lovely, tranquil park at Piazza Bra in the center of town.

  2. Hi Aidan. Sadly, not yet. Did see ice skaters rehearsing for a performance there, though. Would love to return and see Romeo and Juliet in Verona's Coliseum on a nice summer evening. Have you been?

  3. Your park photo looks so familiar. As I think about it, the image reminds me of a French impressionist painting, not quite George Seurat. I'll have to give this some thought. The light is terrific.

    1. Had not thought of that but now that you mention it, it does seem there might be a couple of small references to Seurat. Perhaps I should have waited until the people were distributed in a more Seurat-like pattern.

    1. Can't wait to return, either. Was in Brussels recently during the cold spring rains. Hope it is warmer there now for you.
