Looking Anew at Paris

My sister, who met us in Paris, one of my favorite cities, admitted that she had held no strong desire to visit the city because of the negative comments she had heard about it and its inhabitants. She was pleasantly surprised to see that everyone we met was very friendly to us. In the end, she was delighted with her first visit there. It seems time to bury old stereotypes and enjoy. It's truly an enchanting place.

A gilded statue by the Palais de Chaillot sports both a moustache and fashionable seagull hat.

I like the patterns on these steps at La Conciergerie, near the cell where Vienna's daughter, Marie Antoinette, was imprisoned.

I love your blog! I used to live in Vienna in college and reading your blog and seeing your beautiful photos brings back so many memories.

  2. Hi, Elena,
Thanks for your support; I have been traveling so much that there isn't as much about Vienna lately but stay tuned....When did you live here? What were your favorite things to do here?
