Surprisingly, we remarked several times how surprised we were at the clarity of the water this time. Clearest we had ever seen it! Perhaps there's hope.
Martha, you've done it again! Great Venice series. Were you really flying in an ultra-light? Never seen Venice photos like these. Love the umbrellas people are carrying in some of your pictures. They add spots of color. Glad to hear the water was clear. The last time we were there the water was opaque; too thick to drink, too thin to plow. Jeff
Jeff, you are so kind...and funny! Not an ultra-light at all...more of an ultra-heavy. A tall ship, not one of the graceful kinds with sails but the boxy kind with balconies. Not my cup of cappuccino but I enjoyed the different perspective.
Now Martha, don't tell me you sat in such a filigrane ultra-light plane with nothing but some tubes and canvas between you and the lagoon...
ReplyDeleteMarkus, it was more like gliding on the back of a big, white goose....
ReplyDeleteReassuring ;) Nonetheless: in case of failure you might have survived the fall, but not the liquid they call water down there...
