Green Hair

Vienna.  The fashion in Vienna for the past several years is to color one's hair an unnatural color.  Women of all ages are likely to have pink, purple, blue and green hair, either a solid color or in tandem with other colors.  One of my favorites was a young woman with pink dreadlocks; the color looked great on her.

  1. Also check out that both these young women are wearing "old school" sneakers (Red Ball Jets?). Apparently they are fashionable also.

    1. I was thinking they were Converse All-Stars but don't know for sure. We see them often in Vienna.

  2. Young ladies here in the US also express themselves with some pretty "unnatural" hair colors as well. I'm no fashion expert, but I don't believe I've ever seen tennis shoes/sneakers worn with dresses before. They look like the classic tennis shoes I wore as a kid before Nike, New Balance, Adidas etc, took over the athletic shoe market. I didn't know shoes like this were still being made, or worn. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I'm no fashion expert, either but we do see these shoes rather often here...sometimes in plaid! I am impressed that your comment was so similar to "Taken for Granted." I was unaware that men noticed shoes so much...but if you wore these (to play basketball, perhaps?) I guess they would bring back fond memories.

    2. My first guess would be Converse All-Stars as well. We all wore them as kids playing basketball.

  3. I´m one of these women, I have been colouring a part of my hair red for 10 years now. I love the girl´s green hair, green is my favourite colour.

    1. Her green hair does make quite a statement, doesn't it? Many years ago my mother used green Jello to dye her hair green for a St. Patrick's Day party. As I recall, it didn't wash out too easily.
