Martha, you have such a beautiful back yard. Must be a joy to walk through these gardens. Thanks for the series, one more stunning than the next.
Beautiful, for sure and huge! But you have a beautiful back yard as well with all the State and National Parks. When we move home I'm tempted to volunteer in a beautiful state or national park, even if it means living in a tent.
Looks fantastic, especially the cake, but where are all the people?
As Herrenchiemsee is on an island and requires a ferry to get you there, I suspect the crowds are never as large as at Ludwig's other palaces, Newschwanstein and Linderhof. To be sure, there were people there but, in general, I try not to invade their privacy by getting close to their faces. Glad you like the cake!!
Is this the Bavarian Versailles?
Hi Vreni,Yes, it is, however Ludwig died before it was completed and some sections of the palace were later demolished. It's still a lovely place to take a stroll.
