Frosty Hallstatt Morning

We took a walk through Hallstatt, Austria early the other morning. The strong winds combined with the low temperature made my face, fingers and feet feel frozen. As I put my head down to shield against the wind, I noticed how beautiful the leaves were along our path, and then I started to notice the frost on the plants and wreaths. The thrill of their beauty didn't exactly make me feel warmer but did bring forth an excitement and enthusiasm which helped me forget my discomfort...kind of like yoga....

It is such a good feeling to find the beauty right in front of us...and then to focus on it.

  1. Beautiful photos, Martha! I wish we could be there to enjoy and photograph it as well. You will have to put some of them in a book. I have been helping with a class using this program: www.blurb.com
It's a great program and easy to use.

  3. Thanks, Elaine for your comments and your tip. I've made a few books and a calendar through Mac's iPhoto. They turned out nicely but are rather expensive. I'll check out blurb.com. As for wishing you were here, come on! Would love to have you and Reg here.
